How Hacado sends appointment texts for a business, what we store, and how to opt out.

Last updated October 17, 2026

Who sends the texts

Hacado sends text messages for the business you book with. The message names that business. Hacado is the platform that delivers the text from a toll-free number for United States and Canada mobile numbers.

A business may also connect its own texting provider. This page describes texts Hacado sends from the platform number. If a business uses another provider, that provider’s terms also apply.

What we text

Texts are about a booking, waitlist request, payment, or account sign-in you started. They are not marketing messages. They can include:

A request received, confirmed, declined, canceled, rescheduled, or marked as a no-show.

A reminder before an appointment, or a follow-up after one.

A waitlist opening, or confirmation that you left a waitlist.

A payment link for an amount the business requested.

A one-time sign-in code for your customer account. That code can be sent without a separate text-message checkbox, and it still honors STOP.

How you opt in

On a booking or waitlist form, you can check a box such as “Text me notifications and reminders about my appointment.” The box is unchecked until you check it. You can finish the booking without checking it. Confirmations and reminders then go to the email address you entered.

Next to the box, the form says that messages are from Hacado on behalf of the business, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP to opt out. It links to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and this SMS Privacy and Policy.

If you already agreed for that business and have not opted out, the form shows that texts will be sent to that number instead of asking again.

A business owner can also record that you agreed when they create an appointment or waitlist entry for you. That record is kept as the owner’s attestation.

Information we keep

When you opt in or opt out, we store the mobile number, whether you agreed, which business the choice applies to, the time, and the IP address of the request when one is available. We also store delivery status for texts we send, so we can avoid duplicate sends and apply the first-message notice below.

Consent is per business. Agreeing with one business does not agree for every business on Hacado. An opt-out applies to the phone number across Hacado’s platform number.

We share the phone number and the message contents with our texting provider, Telnyx, so the text can be delivered to your carrier. We do not sell phone numbers.

Frequency, rates, and examples

Message frequency varies with your appointments. You might receive a confirmation, a reminder, and a change notice for one visit, or no texts if you did not opt in. Message and data rates may apply.

A confirmation looks like: “Ada Salon: Hi Jessica, your Cut is confirmed for Fri, Oct 17, 3:00 PM. Manage: https://example.hacado.me/my-cabinet”. A reminder for the next day says “tomorrow” before that date. The name is the one entered on the booking. The first text to your number for a business also includes: “Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.” Every platform text ends with: “Txt STOP to unsubscribe.”

Opting out, help, and opting back in

Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to opt out of further texts from the platform number. We stop appointment, waitlist, payment, and sign-in texts to that number after an opt-out.

Reply HELP for help. The reply includes support@hacado.com.

Reply START, YES, UNSTOP, or SUBSCRIBE to opt back in. That works only if you had previously agreed to texts. A keyword alone does not create a new consent.

Where this applies

The platform number texts United States and Canada numbers. Other countries are not texted from this number. Texts are not directed to children, and the program is not age-gated.
